Folksinger and activist Joan Baez of Woodside will be honored Sunday, Sept. 24, during “Nature’s Inspiration,” an annual celebration and fundraiser hosted by the environmental group, the Committee for Green Foothills.

The event will take place from 1 to 4 p.m. at Coyote Ranch, located in Coyote Valley, a 7,000-acre greenbelt between San Jose and Morgan Hill.

Ms. Baez is being honored for her work to advocate for policies to protect the environment.

Lennie Roberts of Ladera, legislative advocate of the Committee for Green Foothills, will be among the speakers, which will include former U.S. congressman Pete McCloskey and Ms. Baez.
