Ms. Walker has over 40 years experience in the computer industry. She has her BSEE from Northeastern and MSCS from Rutgers and currently sits on the Board of Director of the MIT Enterprise Forum. She is a member of the American Society on Aging and writes about computers and technology weekly for AARP.ORG.
On May 9th, Rosener House staff will also offer other resources for maintaining independent living and assistance to older adults and caregivers. A tour of the nationally recognized, state-of-the-art facility in Menlo Park also will be offered, along with respite for family members, refreshments for all and free parking.
The Rosener House program is suited to individuals with Alzheimer’s disease and other dementia, post-stroke, Parkinson’s disease, frailty, or social isolation. Peninsula Volunteers has provided services to older adults in San Mateo and Santa Clara Counties since 1947. Additional programs of Peninsula Volunteers are Little House, the Roslyn G. Morris Activity Center, Meals on Wheels, and through Peninsula Volunteers Properties, low-income senior housing at Crane Place and Partridge-Kennedy Apartments.
