What happened to the comment posted here that juvenile victims of Dr. William Ayres are also suing Hillcrest and other agencies like the DA's office? The case has been listed on the San Mateo court website since December 28, 2022. It's public record and there is no reason for the comment to be removed. Additionally, attorneys for the cases are looking at the similarities between the two predators. Perhaps they will join forces

A sitting DA; a juvenile judge; Hillcrest Juvenile Hall; the San Mateo Private Defenders all being sued by juvenile victims of Dr. William Ayres in what the Mercury News described on April 27 as a "fiery lawsuit". Seems like this should be covered by the Almanac.. The Ayres case was national news and covered by the New York Times. He was far more powerful than this deceased probation officer story- which is an awful story for sure. Both the Chronicle and the Mercury News have covered this new lawsuit and it should be covered by the Almanac. Too many San Mateo juveniles got severe sentences for rebuffing Ayres' advances.
