I hope that the designers of this new overcrossing have given some thought to what happens to bicyclists and other users at each end of the facility. Users will have to transition from the streets to the new bike path, and from the bike path to the streets at the other end. If this is hazardous or inconvenient, the overcrossing will not be as useful as the planners think.
Consider the Clarke Av overcrossing: Many eastbound users will approach on West Bayshore. Most cyclists would not consider this street a low-stress route, because of the need to take the lane in both directions.

What upgrades on Bay Rd?? It requires a large, funded capital improvement project to modernize all infrastructure along Bay and Van Buren, including Flood Triangle. These areas are not even close to being ready to support the proposed development, and even without the new development, these areas have woefully outdated infrastructure. So far, no one at the city has committed to it.
