The headline of this article took me aback, as from my point of view California government is riddled by progressives from top to bottom.
Health care is far too important to be left to the government as the only provider. California single-payer would be a disaster of unmitigated proportions if it passed. We can be thankful that progressive influence is not yet strong enough to bring about such a calamity.

If progressives are struggling for influence in ultra-blue California, they should probably reconsider their agenda and platforms. There are few places with a more receptive audience.
