Someone stole $50,000 worth of jewelry and other items from a home in Atherton sometime over the last week, police said.

Alarms? What alarms?
We have an alarm directly linked to APD and they are here in two minutes (THANK YOU APD).
And it's basically a free service ($50 or so a year).
I don't get it...
