San Mateo County raises concerns over COVID-19 Delta variant

As the Delta strain jumps to the head of the line of COVID-19 variants, San Mateo County officials are urging unvaccinated residents to get their shots now if they have been delaying vaccinations.

Data being data, this article makes no sense. ok, we have doubled. Does that truly mean we have doubled or is that total number? 27 is what %? I am vaccinated so I do not believe in the anti vac. movement, but the data should be spelled out

@robertd, the numbers are a little confusing unless you have been regularly watching the numbers. Health departments typically provide a 7 day rolling average of NEWLY DETECTED cases. So we’re seeing a 27/12, or 2.25x (225%) multiplicative growth in the number of new cases in 2 weeks. Or a more than doubling, as stated in the article.
