While I understand that some renters need protection from eviction I would like to know what is being done to protect landlords? Yes there is a program that requires a lot of paperwork and also requires the landlord to agree to except only a portion of the back rent and not move forward with evictions, that hardly seems fair. Not every property is owned by a massive corporation, there are a lot of smaller properties and Single Family Homes that are owned by individuals who rely on the rent they get to pay their own bills, no one seems to care about them. The economy seems to be getting back on track, maybe it is time to gradually ease off on the eviction moratorium.
