License plate readers any help?
A description of the alleged culprits might be useful.

Definitely not enough descriptive info here to help ID culprits.
Most roof racks are black. Must you withhold the color of the truck too?

"... two male suspects" "in an older Ford F-150."

Two men in a Ford truck with a roof rack and chrome bumpers? Well, that sure limits it down....

Hopefully, the victim provided more information - race, height, weight, clothing, approximate age, facial hair, tatoos, truck color, approximate year, etc. - to the police. With the description in this article, why even bother?

I thought APR's were going to keep criminals away from PV - the mere installation would keep them out. Gosh, I'm darn shocked.

Several possibilities for the total lack of detailed descriptions:

1. Poor reporting.
2. The victim is not here legally and doesn't really want the matter to go any further.
3. The victim was scared to death and was focused on the gun. (it happens)
4. The victim spent the money and he doesn't want his significant other to know, so he made up a story about being robbed. It didn't actually happen, hence the lack of details. (Seen it before)
