Wed Sep 19 - Blanket Police Traffic Enforcement

Original post made by DC McGlynn, Menlo Park: Linfield Oaks, on Sep 16, 2018

It's that time of the year. Menlo Park, Atherton and surrounding areas will be blanketed by Police from all over the peninsula to enforce the California Vehicle Code.

Reminder re the new Crossing Lights on ECR. You must come to a complete stop (obviously) when it is red, however when it begins to flash red you can legally move off safely (assuming no pedestrian is in the cross walk). The flashing red makes the crossing a Stop Sign (and as you have previously been stopped) you are free to take off. You do NOT have to wait until the red clears.

Be safe out there, and watch for cyclists .. better be alive than in the right.
