Bully goes to Mexico, cowers, lies about talks, comes home and blusters through "speech"

Original post made by I'm too old for this, Menlo Park: Sharon Heights, on Sep 1, 2016

Trump is just an embarrassment to conservatism - I am changing my registration.

He campaigns on Mexico paying for the wall, meets with the Mexican president and lies about not talking about it. Then comes back and "speechifies" on how Mexico will pay for it.

David Duke loved the "speech".

Now today, Trump will be back on meds and chained to a teleprompter and the media will gush about how "under control" and presidential Trump is acting. I'm too old for this.

I quit.

And then last night - nothing but his old hate.

Can we get an interview from Clinton? How do you justify that?

Agree or disagree at least you know where Trumps stands,

At at least we know where Colin Kapernick, stands "Clinton should be in jail".....

So how much exactly is the Trump campaign paying you to post this nonsense?

Not sure what troll you're speaking of

I find it amazing she is terrified of doing press conferences.

She's running for President, Doesn't that concern you. If she can't handle the American press not sure how she will do with the leaders of China, Iran and Russia.

The only legitiamate interview she did in the last 6 months was with Chris Wallace and she couldn't answer a straight question,

Suggest you go back and watch it.

Try to avoid the name calling you look infantile.

I guess when the candidate you support turns into the political version of a dumpster fire, the only course of action you have is to divert, divert, divert.

So when has The Donald ever been *legitimately* interviewed? And more to the point, when has he ever said something that actually sounds sane?

And how much, exactly, *is* the Trumnp campaign paying you to do this? Because if you're doing this, and you're not getting paid, then you are being played for a sucker...right, poster also known as "pay to play"?

When has a politician ever been honest during an interview? Really? The poster thinks all is answered by a press conference?

Well, then I have some prime waterfront property to sell you, in the Everglades.

You are way too young and naive if you think a press conference matters in politics. Come back when you get out of high school.

How about the KKK? David Duke supporting Trump, and saying about Trump's off-the-rails 'speech' on Thursday: "Excellent speech by Donald Trump tonight"

Interview THAT.

Why was Trump's immigration speech off-the-rails?

Because he was upset at a TWEET by the Mexican president, telling the world that Mr. Trump is a liar.

WALL STREET JOURNAL:
Donald Trump Revised Immigration Speech After Mexican Leader’s Tweet

Just after landing, though, Mr. Trump discovered that Mexican President Enrique Peña Nieto had tweeted that he had told the Republican presidential nominee during their private meeting earlier that day that his country would refuse to pay for the wall.

Mr. Trump was peeved...

Web Link

Ask Hillary about that in a press conference: "Excuse me, Madame Secretary, do you think Trump has the capacity of a 2nd grade bully?"

You are too young and naive to see the writing on the wall about the dangers Mr. Trump poses.

Mr. Trump was peeved...

to our high schooler interested in Clinton media availabilities, loudly proclaimed in her breaking voice "your serve":

AUGUST 4 (last Trump was in July):

"the former secretary of State addressed a room full of journalists ... Clinton was speaking to the National Association of Black Journalists and the National Association of Hispanic Journalists during their annual conference in Washington. (Donald Trump also received an invitation but declined to speak.)"

Okay, then.

Mr. Trump, where are you?

from NPR:
Among the network's findings:

"350 interviews: While she did not keep up with the frantic media pace Donald Trump set for much of the election season, Clinton cannot be said to have ducked public questioning. She had indeed done 350 interviews in the first seven months of the year.

Mostly TV: Clinton favored television above all other forms of media. Clinton gave one hundred interviews to national cable and broadcast network news programs in that period and also emphasized brief interviews with local television news stations. She also frequently graced local radio hosts with her calls.

Clinton also participated in nine town-hall sessions from Jan. 1 to July 31, at which she took questions from journalists and members of the public"

I will wait for Mr. Trump to be interviewed by the National Association of Black Journalists and the National Association of Hispanic Journalists.

Add to the fact that Mr. Trump BANS some journalists from his events Web Link
"'The Blacklist': Here are the media outlets banned by Donald Trump"

Our poster should go back to his classes now. She can rest assured that the national media's unhappiness with Secretary Clinton will skew their reporting to Mr. Trump.

To all of the above,

Did you say Clinton did 350 interviews, Please state when and where,

Now about those press conferences? I'd much rather have a press conference than a staged softball interview and the only one I'm aware of was with Chris Wallace several weeks ago, She stumbled fumbled and lied. Suggest you watch it and get back to me.

Press conferences, Why won't she do them?

"Did you say Clinton did 350 interviews, Please state when and where" Look it up yourself on the Clinton website.

From NPR - Among the network's findings: 350 interviews: While she did not keep up with the frantic media pace Donald Trump set for much of the election season, Clinton cannot be said to have ducked public questioning. She had indeed done 350 interviews in the first seven months of the year. Web Link

Last Trump Press Conference: July 27 – Doral, FL

Last Clinton Press Conference: AUGUST 4

"the former secretary of State addressed a room full of journalists ... Clinton was speaking to the National Association of Black Journalists and the National Association of Hispanic Journalists during their annual conference in Washington. Donald Trump also received an invitation but declined to speak.

NPR: "Clinton cannot be said to have ducked public questioning."

Donald Trump also received an invitation but declined to speak.

The young poster shows a great deal of naivete as she prepares for her next poli-sci class; she truly is grasping at straws, as Trump drags the GOP into the weeds.

As she continues to spout, just re-read these words:

Last Trump Press Conference: July 27 – Doral, FL

Last Clinton Press Conference: AUGUST 4

"the former secretary of State addressed a room full of journalists ... (Donald Trump also received an invitation but declined to speak.)"

350 interviews in 7 months, That's 50 a month,

Let's say she is available 20 days a month, that's 2.5 interviews a day?

Posted by position
a resident of Atherton: other
on Sep 2, 2016 at 4:37 pm

The range of those interviews includes some unlikely questioners, such as:

Philip Levine, the Democratic mayor of Miami Beach, Fla., who has not only endorsed Clinton but whose company was the landlord for her South Florida campaign office. Levine has a political talk show on Sirius XM satellite radio.

Neha Gandhi of Refinery 29, a lifestyle website aimed at millennial women, in conversation with Planned Parenthood chief Cecile Richards.

Mr. Chase, host of a midday show on the Detroit R&B station Mix 92.3, who decided to give Clinton an astrological reading: "You're basically a water sign. You have tendencies of Libra. You're great at getting people along and creating harmony."

At least we know what her sign is,

Still can't find those darned press conferences. Has anyone seen them?

You claim no interviews- NPR said 350.

You claim no pressure conferences - she did one in August, trumps last one was July.

Read the other poster in those threadays.

"I'm ... a white, mellenial college female on the Trump payroll"

Would explain a lot, but you'd be awfully lonely.

And since you got on Sam for spelling while intoxicated - "mellenial"???

Sam figured out your silly meme, though:

"You claim no interviews- NPR said 350.

You claim no pressure conferences - she did one in August, trumps last one was July."

Peter added: Trump BANS journalists from his conferences and media availabilities.

You fiddle with this dumb interview meme, while Trump burns the GOP to the ground.

Quite amazing. I changed my registration. You, instead of doing something constructive about the mess that is Trump as the leader of the GOP, attack Hillary about interviews. Man, I'm glad I left uber partisans like you behind.

63 yr. old white Male, Married, Father of 2, Self made, Started cutting lawns and shoveling snow, "from the midwest originally"

3rd Generation enlisted Navy, Grandfather Navy Veteran of WW1, Father Navy Veteran of WW2, and myself and my brother Navy enlisted during Vietnam War w/ 4 promotions in 3 1/2 years.
Had a draft # of 356, Could have sat it out,

"Too old" you got me on the "meme"?, I joined the service right out of high school, never made it to college,

I'm not a Trump fan, As for President. What we have here is two bad choices. Neither one will effect my life or lifestyle, It's my kids and their kids I worry about.

In this case w/ the 2 bad choices, Trump the unknown, Clinton a known with a very poor character, history, selective memory, and a 60% untrustworthy rating, I have to pick one so holding my nose I'll take the one that signs the front of checks and not the back.

Truth be told Between Hilliary, Bill and Donald if I could I'd choose Bill,

Your serve

Similar backgrounds.

You and I agree on Bill - who wouldn't take the Clinton 90's over his wife or Trump?

Before I go off on the statement "What we have here is two bad choices" - when was the last time we had two good choices? In fact, when was the last time you were enamored of a candidate (not an incumbent)?

RWR in 80? I wasn't initially - absent the state of the union at that time, which made anyone look great in comparison (heresy, I know.) Poppy Bush? Nope - the CIA thing always stuck in my craw.

Now -"What we have here is two bad choices."

Bull. There is no comparison, and using false equivalence is absurd.

Trump is a self-centered reality show actor who has near zero interest in the well-being of our country, and has all but admitted it over the years, even as he did everything he could to get his name in the papers.

Clinton has rail-cars full of baggage, but will at least in most cases act in the best interests of the country when it counts. She will stand by our allies and our treaties. Hopefully not too hawkish, but you and I are probably somewhere on the same side of that scale. By the time she places her hand on the Bible, she will have consumed all the necessary briefing books and be ready for Putin and whatever comes our way. Hell, she probably is ready for the 3am phone call now.

Trump? Good heavens! If Pence is unavailable, imagine the 3am phone call!

"Sir, sorry to wake you sir... do you remember how we did that lesson the other day on the countries that surround Iran? Well, one of the 8, yes sir, there are 8, yes sir, no, Iran, not Iraq, yes - they are easy to confuse, sir, well, one of them is Turkmenistan, no sir, not the coup one, that's Turkey, yes sir, they are different, very different, very good sir, no one can slip that by you, sir... as you recall sir, why yes sir, it is the one with all the statues, very good sir, what's that? You want an update on the statue of you in the Mall? Right away sir, but if we can back to Turkmenistan, sir, this really is very important... what's that sir? They do? No sir, I didn't know all those countries make you wonder about your new sand wedge, sir, how very interesting... now sir, Turkmenistan, sir..."

It's a little less scary if you read it in the classic Bob Newhart telephone voice, of course.

But what really scares me is when someone gets a burr up Trump's (somewhere) and he gets huffy and orders the military to do something they cannot do.

And they have to tell him "no".

That would be a first.

And a last.

Trump is completely absent the judgement and temperament to lead America.

He must lose. And lose badly. A message must be sent, with authority. It's the only thing his feeble mind will understand.

Then we rebuild the Republican Party. This time, hopefully some will actually read the autopsy.

Let Trump have his network. Let him take all the white nationalists too. Good riddance.

Had to get this out tonight, going out tomorrow,

It's ironic that our Republican primary system chose Donald Trump, There were at least 7 or 8 more qualified candidates. My own opinion is the majority of Americans are just fed up w/ business as usual and the Washington machine and want a change. Trump capitalized on that sentiment.

For the democrats, the polls showed throughout the primary that Only Benrie was ranked to beat Trump by a comfortable margin in November and yet the Dems conspired to rigg the election and then made Bernie say he supported them. Haven't heard much from him lately. An inspiring man selling out cheap/ The next day the DNC fired (resigned) their top 5 members including Schultz the head of the party for Conspiring to rig a national Presidential primary election which makes Watergate look like a church service. This should have been investigated by Congress.

As to Comey and the e-mail scandal, I really had great respect for the man but even he sold out to the Administration, Via, Obama, Bill having a secret meeting w/Loretta Lynch who was appointed by Barrack Obama, and surely promised to keep the job by Bill if she won't file charges against Hilliary. Loretta Lynch, who works for Obama who is passing the proverbial torch to Clinton, to poor director Comey who had a secret last minute interview meeting on a non news day Sat. morning, and chose friday before a Labor day weekend to announce the results again another non-news day released more damning e-mails (13 personal devices, up from one originally. some missing, some destroyed w/ hammers) and 39 times couldn't recall.

Only 2 options here, either she lied 39 times, plus going on record as having one Iphone to 13 Blackberries. Min's, etc. or she is to incompetent to be Sect. of State much less President. Choose one you can't have it both ways.

Poor Donna Brazil says in a meek defensive manner to anyone interviewing her that that's just the way politics works in Washington and everyone knows that. I actually have sympathy for her, she seems the cleanest of the all with the only honest answer.

2 lousy choices, maybe a constitutional amendment to extend the election,
or If Gary Johnson gets on the debate stage who knows? That being said I will reluctantly still take the unknown Trump over the known Clinton. She could be impeached in her first year and then we're stuck with Kaine,

Nope. You are truly stuck in the koolaid if you think Trump and Clinton are somehow equally bad for America.

Enjoy your outing.

A couple things we can all agree on...

1. Going to be an interesting 4 years

2. All the norms are out the window

Last: the next campaign will not revert to the norm either. A candidate can go crazy and say the other side did it in 2016.
