Teflon Don tests the limits - after all, he admitted, his fans wouldn't give a hoot if he walked out onto 5th Ave and blew someone away.... (CNN "Donald Trump again refers to murder in campaign speech ...")

How will Trump's nomination effect San Mateo County?

My opinion: Trump has exposed an already broken and dysfunctional national party for all to see. The GOP will exist but only with limited power in regions.

San Mateo County hasn't been one of those regions in ages.

The biggest question is will this effect the creation of stronger third parties? The Democrats hierarchy are actually better off with a single weakened opposition opposed to multiple parties. Too scary if the big tent Dems lose control of their factions also. Think Bernie on steroids.

This election may well be studied for generations.

Donald Trump has to walk a fine line between not alienating his KKK supporters and not obviously blowing off the minority groups that the KKK has oppressed (and murdered) over the years. Flip flopping is not fooling anyone, though.

Huge day for the aforementioned teflon Don.

Years of training my fellow conservatives to hate politicians have finally born fruit. And it's rotten to the core.

The Washington Post today finally admitted that Hillary was under criminal investigation.

"The FBI is looking to wrap up the Clinton inquiry — a criminal investigation of the possible mishandling of classified information — in the coming months, according to a senior U.S. law enforcement official."

With the husband giving speeches at $750K per pop then the wife, the SOS, making favorable foreign policy decisions for foreign countries is definitely a pay for play.

So the voters could be left with 2 odious choices: the criminal or the clown?
Meanwhile I am going to eat a brownie and chill out.

STT,

It is relevant because Ms. Clinton and Mr. Trump, at this point in time, are the favorites to win the nomination from their respective parties. Trump's behavior is puerile. Clinton's behavior is criminal. Given the choice between bad and worse I will reluctantly choose puerile behavior over criminal behavior. That being said one can hope that better candidates from both parties will emerge as the nominees.

The FBI will announce criminal indictments against Hillary. Then Bernie Sanders, the man who represents the Democratic Wing of the Democratic Party, will become the nominee. The with some help from the Donald Bernie Sanders will become the next President. Thank you Donald for being so vulgar and immature and thank you Hillary for being so larcenous and avaricious. You two are the best campaigners for Bernie Sanders.

[Portion removed]

Only Fox viewers think Hillary is a criminal - 11 hours under oath and Republicans came up with nothing.

Clinton tax returns have been available for almost 30 years. Who is the last Republican to release so many years?

Total years of full tax returns released by trumpy Cruz Rubio and Mitt 47% Romney?

Combined - 1 year. (Mittens in 2012]

Speaking of what Trump really thinks (if anything), I see that Menlo Park Councilmember Peter Otaki says he is running for state Assembly. There may be 8 or more candidates on the June ballot. Top two make the November ballot. Word is Otaki is registered as a Republican. Maybe the only purported Republican in the race. What else does he do? Anybody know?

Looking at Otaki"s Assembly campaign website, I see that he claims to have been the CEO of an unidentified 'start up" and to have run some kind of unidentified "non-profit." Did both companies fail? What is the real story about Otaki and every other candidate for Assembly?

I was dismayed to learn the Peter Ohtaki is a Republican. Isn't it time that we outlawed the Republican Party in California? We should send Ohtaki to Guantanamo Bay for enhanced interrogation to find out what psychotropic drugs he must have been taking that caused his mind to decay to such a depraved state that lead him to become a member of a political party other than the Righteous, Omniscient Democratic Party. We need to do this to ensure that national security of our country. Who knows what other sleeper Republican Agents are in our community? We need to fight back!

So Jim. What is the name of the "start up" and of the "non-profit" your buddy Ohtaki claims to have run? Being the only currently registered Republican in the race will not likely get Ohtaki into the November runoff.

I asked earlier how Trump will affect San Mateo County - not many responses, except to intimate that the Ohtaki poster above seems to think Trump will further poison the Republican brand more than it already is in CA.

The only longshot to beat Trump is now Cruz - whom can not get an endorsement from his fellow Republican senators; apparently, they all detest him personally.

Great qualifications.

Think they're kidding?

"Lindsey Graham was particular piquant in his criticism. He was very clear he didn’t like Cruz, who he said was no better than Trump and whom he accused of McCarthyism. He cracked, “If you killed Ted Cruz on the floor of the Senate, and the trial was in the Senate, nobody would convict you.”

A lot can change in a couple weeks. Graham made his joke about murdering Cruz way back on February 26...."

Whoa boy, that's love!

btw: for fun, search Twitter for "Ted Cruz is the zodiac killer"

or google "Ted Cruz zodiac killer" (a couple million hits.

Anyone that was around when the zodiac killer was active wouldn't think the joke funny. It isn't.

Again, per Kant, humor is rarely funny when you take it apart - just a 'strain for time'.

This 'net meme about Cruz started in 2013.

According to his colleagues, Ted Cruz is an evil little *****; the zodiac criminal was evil incarnate - thus the gallows humor.

I'll give the standard useless fauxpology - I'm sorry if you were offended. I too vividly recall the zodiac crimes owning the front pages for long periods in my younger days; I see the satire (and it is thus, for Rafael Cruz's Canadian 'short form' birth certificate clearly shows he was born after the events started.)

I absolutely admit Cruz did not invent evil, he's just a serious, accomplished practitioner of said 'value', based on what has been said by those who work closely with him.

Drumpf's recent public events include a loyalty oath and all the followers lifting their right arm in salute/allegiance/oath.

Absolutely the most bizarre, tone-deaf occurrence in a national political party in decades.

A tip for Donald J. Drumpf: honestly, much like Pat Buchanan's 1992 RNC speech, these type of oaths probably sound much better in the original German.

Trumps rallies are now free-for-alls with assualts, taunting and cops. Today, an old white racist assualted a black protester and the cops threw the protester down. The elbow to the skull eas caught on tape.

If Trump gets screwed at the RNC he will have his troops burn the place down.

Will the fight between Black Lives Matter supporters and KKK supporters at yesterday's Trump rally push Trump even farther to the right? Trump himself said these incidents inspire his far-right racist base.

The protesters weren't all BLM. Trump held the rally on the campus at University of Illinois specifically to inflame students of all stripes. Trump succeeded.

Too bad it got canceled; rumor has it that Trump was going to deliver his speech in it's original language - German.

Now he has Rubio saying he's not sure he can vote for Trump when he clinches the nomination. So much for The Oath.

Seeing Trump wrap up all the policies and dog whistles from the GOP for the last 40+ years since Nixons anti civil rights era, and having these chickens roost, is amazing on on one hand.

And on the other hand - entirely predictable.
