The jail inmate accused of participating in a conspiracy with a sheriff’s deputy and two correctional officers to smuggle cellphones and drugs into the county jail pleaded not guilty to all charges before a San Mateo County judge on Tuesday (Nov. 18).

Dionicio Rafael Lopez Jr., 27, of San Bruno, is scheduled for a preliminary hearing on Dec. 19 at 9 a.m.

Charged along with Mr. Lopez were Leticia Lopez, 55, and Amanda Lopez, 25, both of San Bruno; and Roxanne Ingebretsen, 28, of Half Moon Bay, according to prosecutors.

Prosecutors say that, over several months, Mr. Lopez, who is also a gang member, conspired with two county jail correctional officers — George Ismael and Michael Del Carlo — and Deputy Sheriff Juan Pablo Lopez (no relation) to acquire two cellphones and oxycontin.

The deputy and the correctional officers were arrested on conspiracy and other charges Nov. 13 after an 11-month investigation by the San Mateo County District Attorney’s Office.
