Caltrain weed-spraying set for Dec. 10-17

Original post made by Andrea Gemmet, Almanac staff writer, on Dec 7, 2006

Caltrain spokewoman Christine Dunn said crews will be spraying weeds along the train tracks right-of-way from San Francisco to San Jose every night during the week of Dec. 10 to Dec. 17. Weed abatement is necessary to help maintain a clear line-of-sight for the engineer, she said.

To avoid train delays, the work will take place from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. Nearby residents should expect some noise, although crews will work as quietly as possible, Ms. Dunn said.
