Memorial for Amelie Le Moullac

A memorial service took place Aug. 22 at Saint Mark's Episcopal Church in Palo Alto for Amélie Le Moullac, the 24-year-old Menlo School grad who was killed while riding her bike in San Francisco.

Ms. Le Moullac was struck and killed by a semi-trailer truck in San Francisco on Aug. 14, four days after her 24th birthday.

Born in Herblay, France, Ms. Le Moullac moved to the Bay Area with her family when she was 7, and attended the International School of the Peninsula for some time, according to a memorial posted by her mother, Jessie Jewitt, on the Almanac's "Lasting Memories" page.

She attended St. Joseph's middle school in Atherton, then graduated from Menlo School in Atherton in 2007. She earned her bachelor's degree in communications from the University of Southern California in 2011, then went on to work as an associate client executive at Voce Communications, a public relations and marketing firm co-founded by Menlo Park councilman Rich Cline.

Family and friends have posted condolences on the Voce Communications blog and shared memories of her vibrancy, compassion and sense of humor.
