Laurel School loses iconic oak

Laurel School Lower Campus in Menlo Park lost what Principal Linda Creighton called "a breathtaking icon of Laurel School" when a huge heritage oak fell during the night of March 1.

Ms. Creighton said the school will salvage some of the wood to create a memento of the tree at the school.
