In announcing her intent to run earlier this month, Ms. Campbell listed as priorities "closing the achievement gap, expanding access to quality preschool, and ensuring all students are prepared for success in the 21st century global economy."
Ms. Campbell's career in education before running for county superintendent included stints as teacher, counselor, principal, and district superintendent. She was serving as superintendent of the Portola Valley School District when she ran for the county post.
As of Friday, Feb. 21, no one else had taken out papers in the race for superintendent.
