Menlo Park man arrested in suspected DUI crash

A Menlo Park man was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence early Saturday (Nov. 30) after flipping a car on a ramp to U.S. Highway 101 in Redwood City, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The 28-year-old man was driving a 2007 Acura MDX that rolled on the Woodside Road on-ramp at about 3:45 a.m., the CHP said.

After the wreck, the driver fled the scene and was found at his home, the CHP said.

No injuries were reported in the crash and no other vehicles were involved, the CHP said.

Editor's note: It is The Almanac's policy to withhold the names of those arrested for most crimes until the District Attorney's Office has determined that there is sufficient evidence to file charges in the case.

So glad that no innocent people were injured by this criminal this time. I hope he gets the help he needs before he does injure or kill someone.

I am not defending the man, but people make mistakes. Most people have driven under the influence at one point in their life. I don’t like how we make criminals out of ordinary people who make mistakes. Meanwhile in California you can steal whatever you want and basically serve no jail time.

Back defending the indefensible, I see...

Driving under the influence is NOT a mistake. It IS a crime, and should be punished accordingly.

Stop trying to argue otherwise.

I agree with Enough whoever She/He is.

Driving under the influence is NOT a mistake. It IS a crime, and should be punished accordingly.

That is exactly why I posted what I did.
