Woodside: Trees fall, blocking local roads


Highway 84 west of Woodside was reported closed at 5:59 p.m. tonight due to a downed tree between Grandview Drive and Skywood Way, according to the the San Mateo County Sheriff's Office.

The road was reported blocked in both directions and drivers were advised to use alternate routes.

At 5:03 p.m., the Sheriff's Office reported that a large tree fell in Woodside that blocked residents from getting in our out of the area from 710 to 890 Patrol Road, and all of Roan Place and Pinto Way.

At 8:04 p.m., motorists were urged to use caution on Kings Mountain Road between Entrance Way and Skyline Boulevard due to trees, rocks and mud in the roadway. Drivers were advised to use alternate routes such as SR-92 and Old La Honda Road.
