Pet of the week: Beauty and strength

By Scott Delucchi, Peninsula Humane Society

Meet Bella, a 2-year-old, spayed female pit bull available for adoption at the Peninsula Humane Society's Center for Compassion in Burlingame.

She has a soft, tan coat with a white "bib" and striking golden brown eyes. Bella loves receiving attention and petting, even more than toys or treats.

She's an affectionate lap dog, despite her size. She also loves to play and fetch, so will do best in a home with a big yard.

Due to her strength and energy, her adopters will need prior breed experience.

Looking to complete a "power couple?" If Bella is paired with another big dog, he should be male.

For more information, visit our Center of Compassion at 1450 Rollins Road in Burlingame or go to www.phs-spca.org.
