Tonight: Menlo Park budget workshop

Tonight, Menlo Park's city manager will present the proposed $72.1 million budget for the 2014-15 fiscal year and a 10-year financial forecast.

General fund revenues are projected to be $46.5 million, with expenditures approximately the same, leaving a $29,000 surplus, according to City Manager Alex McIntyre's report.

A public hearing on the proposed budget will be held during the City Council's June 3 meeting.

The May 27 workshop starts at 6 p.m. in council chambers at the Civic Center, located at 701 Laurel St. The presentation will be streamed online.
