Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

By Scott Delucchi, Peninsula Humane Society.

I’m pretty sure you’re losing a staring contest with this week’s featured pet, Tomi. Don’t even try: These eyes will get you every time.

Tomi is a 2 ½ year old, spayed female Tortie. Despite the intensity of her peepers, she can be a little shy at first, but will melt like butter when you give her a chance.

She’s currently sharing a “pad” with other cats at the Peninsula Humane Society’s swanky adoption center, so we know she’ll do fine in a home with multiple cats.

She loves games of chase — with the laser toy (which she never catches) and with ping pong balls, which are much easier prey.

She loves long petting sessions. Come see for yourself. Visit our Center for Compassion at 1450 Rollins Road in Burlingame from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on weekdays and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on weekends. www.phs-spca.org/
