Green Foothills director resigns

Zoe Kersteen-Tucker, executive director of the Committee for Green Foothills, said she resigned her position on July 22 to spend more time with family. After serving the environmental nonprofit for four and a half years, she said she will remain highly involved in coastal preservation work and the Midpeninsula Regional Open Space District. A resident of Moss Beach, she said the organization has expanded to a point where it requires a full-time director and that she is currently unable to meet such a large time commitment.

As the committee begins its search for a replacement, treasurer Pete LaTournette will fill in as a staff/community liaison to coordinate ongoing programs, and other members of the board of directors will absorb leadership responsibilities until a new director is found, Ms. Kersteen-Tucker said.
