Valentine’s Day Fun Part 1

Uploaded: Feb 12, 2021
Our daughters and I have greatly enjoyed looking at the Valentine's Day decorations along Addison Ave this year. For the past few weeks we’ve taken detours home to check out the giant hearts made out of flowers, colorful conversation hearts, and animal themed valentines. These decorations were a great way to get us in the mood to send valentines out to our friends and neighbors, put up our own decorations, and celebrate the connections with others that we hold near and dear to our hearts.

As winter lingers and we are all aching for a bit more normalcy in our lives, it was so heartwarming to hear about our kids’ Valentine’s Day celebrations with their classmates this week. I am so thankful for all of the hard work and planning that our teachers put into making this year’s classroom valentine exchanges and activities both safe and fun. This school year has been a roller coaster ride, but it is so wonderful when kids can just be kids and enjoy time celebrating with their friends.

We hope you all have a safe and happy Valentine’s Day weekend.
Democracy.
What is it worth to you?
