Free financial planning information

The public is invited to get personal finance questions answered for free at the Silicon Valley Financial Planning Day from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 13, at the Unitarian Universalist Church of Palo Alto.

About 40 certified financial planners will meet with people and answer questions, said event spokesman Gary Rousselo. There will be presentations on investing, taxes and saving for retirement.

The church is at 505 East Charleston Road. The event is sponsored by the Financial Planning Association of Silicon Valley.
