Daniel Frederick Glenn of Portola Valley was among the 3,219 students who received degrees from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. Daniel earned a bachelor of arts degree.

Nicholas Liotta of Menlo Park graduated from Rochester Institute of Technology in Rochester, New York, with a bachelor of science degree and a master of science degree in electrical engineering.

• Members of the Loyola Marymount University 2012 graduation class included Melissa Eldridge of Menlo Park, with a bachelor of arts degree in psychology, and Daniel Lees of Menlo Park with a bachelor's degree in business administration. Both students graduated cum laude.

• Joining more their 1,300 of their classmates in graduation ceremonies at Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles, John Closs of Menlo Park earned a bachelor's degree in business administration, Christian Hansen of Menlo Park earned a bachelor of arts degree in economics, and Matthew Parsons of Portola Valley earned a bachelor of arts in English.

Annie Closs of Menlo Park graduated from Villanova University in Villanova, Pennsylvania, with a bachelor of arts degree during a spring commencement ceremony held May 20.

Janna Ratzlaff of Menlo Park was among the 3,810 students to gradate from the University of Massachusetts Boston this spring.

Patrick Shanahan, son of Robyn and Tom Shanahan of Woodside, graduated from Culver Academies in Culver, Indiana, on June 3. Patrick completed his studies as commander of the cavalry squadron and operations officer of the full cadet regiment. He will attend Santa Clara University this fall and plans to join the Army ROTC program.

Molly Landeen of Woodside earned a bachelor of arts in biochemistry and molecular biology from Cornell College in Mount Vernon, Iowa.

Tynan McAuley of Portola Valley graduated from Harvey Mudd College in Claremont on May 13 with a bachelor of science degree, graduating with high distinction and department honors in engineering and humanities. Tynan is a graduate of the Woodside Priory.

• A bachelor of science degree in biological sciences was awarded to Adrian Zarifis of Woodside in graduation ceremonies held May 27 at Cornell University in Ithaca, New York.

Oliver Housman of Portola Valley graduated from Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa, at the conclusion of the 2012 spring semester with a bachelor of arts degree in journalism and mass communication in radio-television.
