Letter: Don't overlook operating expenses in big projects
First the Burgess Pool, now the M-A Performing Arts Center. Someone needs to explain to the Menlo Park City Council the difference between capital expenses and operating expenses; namely, the fact that you can afford to build it doesn't mean you can afford to run it.
Hopefully someone will remember that the next time a fancy new building for the city is proposed.
