Kepler's hosts tribute to author

Bookmark and Share
On Thursday, May 31, figures from the Bay Area literary scene will gather at Kepler's Books to honor Kathi Kamen Goldmark, a local author and music producer who died of cancer on May 24.

Among other highlights of a life described as well-lived, Ms. Goldmark performed alongside authors Stephen King and Amy Tan as part of the Rock Bottom Remainders band. Editors Victoria Zackheim and Ellen Sussman will read selections from "Exit Laughing: How Humor Takes the Sting Out of Death," an anthology of 24 stories that includes one written by Ms. Goldmark.

The free event at Kepler's, located at 1010 El Camino Real in Menlo Park, starts at 7 p.m. on May 31.
