At Kepler's

Award-winning poet Dana Gioia will read from and sign his new book of poetry, "Pity the Beautiful," at 7 p.m. Wednesday, May 2, at Kepler's, 1010 El Camino Read in Menlo Park.

"Pity the Beautiful" is Mr. Gioia's first new poetry book in over a decade.

He is the former chairman of the National Endowment for the Arts, and currently serves as the Judge Widney professor of poetry and public culture at the University of Southern California.
