Music@Menlo's winter series in Atherton

Music@Menlo's winter series continues with "Winds of France," a concert of wind chamber music, at 4 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 12, at the Performing Arts Center at Menlo-Atherton High School.

The program showcases selections for combinations of wind instruments and piano, and culminates in the entire ensemble performing Francis Poulenc's "Sextet for Piano, Flute, Oboe, Clarinet, Bassoon and Horn."

Pianist Alessio Bax, clarinetist David Shifrin, and flutist Tara Helen O'Connor, join forces with Chamber Music Society wind players, including Stephen Taylor (oboe), Peter Kolkay (bassoon), and William Purvis (horn) for this program of works from France.
