Chad Brock reaches Eagle Scout rank

Charles (Chad) H. Brock III of Woodside will be presented the Eagle Scout award in ceremonies at 4 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 20, at Trinity Episcopal Church in Menlo Park.

Chad's Eagle project was designing and building an equipment shed at Beechwood School in East Menlo Park. He was elected to the Order of the Arrow in 2009. He earned 22 merit badges and was the recipient of the Angus Leadership Award in 2010 and the Ashworth Award in 2001.

Chad graduated from Menlo-Atherton High School, where he ran track and field as a hurdler for four years. He was also an honor student all during high school. He is now a freshman studying architecture at Syracuse University in New York state
