Briefs: The Mix to open hot chocolate bar
Just in time for coming cold and dreary winter days, The Mix frozen yogurt shop at 3536 Alameda de las Pulgas in West Menlo Park is opening a hot chocolate bar in the shop on Saturday, Oct. 29.
The Mix, owned by Jamie Schein and Susannah Albright of Menlo Park, will feature chocolate from TCHO chocolate in peppermint, hazelnut, malt, and mocha hot chocolates with whipped cream and toppings. A kids' version of the drinks will be made with milder Ghirardelli chocolate.
Throughout the winter, The Mix will also feature Belgian waffles, individually-brewed Verve coffee, and baked goodies from Butterscotch Bakery.
On opening day for the hot chocolate bar on Oct. 29, The Mix will serve free samples of its winter offerings throughout the afternoon.
