Letter: Reader sees a bias for West Menlo Park

Bookmark and Share
For as long as I've been reading the Almanac, I've felt that it has always reflected a "West Menlo" preference.

This is attitude is clearly shown in last week's editorial, "District shift won't hurt Belle Haven." When the Almanac's rationale is that east Menlo has more in common with East Palo Alto and Redwood City, it could just as easily say that it has a lot in common with East Oakland.

I think that the districts are better represented by a diverse socioeconomic base. What the Almanac proposes is polarization and in this case promotes segregation.

I can assure you that there is no Almanac pro West Menlo Park bias at least when it comes to West Menlo Park residents writing blogs.

The highway has always divided our cultures, skin colors, and social classes...it has basically decided our social classes. don't worry about any of this, Facebook's employee base will be so large in 10 years most of the residents in that part of town will have moved across the bay to newark. The future....is coming.
