Services Friday for Ralph Calcaterra, 93, of Atherton
Ralph J. Calcaterra died June 18 surrounded by family at his home in Atherton, where he resided for 47 years. He was 93.

Born in Norway, Michigan, he was raised in Iron Mountain, Michigan. In his 20s, he moved to California, where he built his land development and property management businesses in California and Las Vegas.

He was active with the Peninsula Volunteers and a benefactor to Nativity Church.
Survivors include his wife, Ferne, son Richard, daughter Melissa, and three grandchildren. The family expressed gratitude to Angie Guitierrez for the outstanding care she provided to Mr. Calcaterra.
