Letter: Incensed by city's decision to poison squirrels
As a 15-year resident of Menlo Park, I join the multitude of community members perplexed and infuriated to learn of the covert decision to poison squirrels at Bedwell Bayfront Park in August of 2010.
Because these actions reflect a short-view, uneducated, dangerous and limited understanding of the value and health of ecosystems, it is clear that both City Manager Glen Rojas and Deputy City Manager Kent Steffens do not reflect the basic understandings or the forward-thinking necessary to represent Menlo Park.
Menlo Park requires better and it is my intention to seek the removal of these city representatives who approved this act which was covert, backwards and toxic.
