Feature story: Beating the flu bug

It was a terrifying way to start the new year. Feeling wiped out and congested, Menlo Park resident Candace Peterson took to her bed, wondering if she had a cold or the flu. A few days later, when she woke up she couldn't breathe.

Actually, The CDC's latest report from the first week in February (released this past Friday) showed California's activity to be "moderate", down from "high" the previous 2 weeks. Not only did California show a decrease, but most of the country (including many other states in the west) did as well.
