The impact is that the Alpine Road underpass at 280 is closed and you are forced onto the freeway in order to get across the intersection. Therefore, to get from PV to MP, you have to get on 280 south and turn around at Pagemill road; or to get from MP to PV, get on 280 north and turn around at Sandhill.

So if the intersection isn't cleared by 3:30 or so, Alpine, Sandhill, and Pagemill commutes will all be a mess this afternoon. Plus whatever other problems there are.
