Message from Jamis MacNiven of Buck's restaurant in Woodside.

Join us Thursday, October 26th, 2006 for breakfast at the legendary Buck’s of Woodside restaurant and landmark where members of the San Mateo Sheriff’s Office, including Sheriff Don Horsley and Undersheriff Greg Munks, will be greeting the general public and waiting tables. This is your opportunity to come out and send off Sheriff Don Horsley in style who will be retiring at the end of this year and support the Special Olympics!

“Tip-A-Cop” is a fun-filled event that bonds the community and develops partnerships, all for a worthy cause. Partnering with Buck’s of Woodside, Law Enforcement personnel will team with regular wait staff of the restaurant to wait tables. During the course of their duties, they will share information with customers about the Tip-a-Cop event, Special Olympics, and solicit “tips” as donations for Special Olympics.

Proceeds from the Tip-a-Cop event assist in allowing Special Olympics Northern California to provide year-round sports training and competition to children and adults with developmental disabilities at no cost to them or their families.

So, come join in the festivities and help raise funds for Special Olympics on Thursday, October 26th, @ Buck’s of Woodside

3062Woodside Road in Woodside. The fun begins at 8 AM.

For more information, the public can contact the following people:

Deputy Todd Finato, San Mateo County Sheriff’s Office, 650.363.4915
