"This statement captures the essence of our concerns with some of the Council members. That they suggest our ethics could lead us to treat people differently based on their political affiliation demonstrates their lack of trust in our organization.

We stand on our record and challenge anyone to provide an example of an investigated and sustained complaint of impartial treatment."

Given that the cops get to investigate themselves, is the lack of a sustained complaint regarding impartial treatment any surprise?

How would the union know there were no sustained complaints about misconduct? The results of the complaints, by law, are confidential!!
