The art of demolition

As demolition proceeded last week on the Hillview Middle School campus, this mural -- part of a long tradition of students' creating outdoor art at the school -- was the last standing when a photographer stopped by. ==I Almanac photo by Daniella Sanchez.==

A picture is worth a thousand words, and this one says it all. So sad to see the all the colorful, creative artwork demolished and replaced by an unwelcoming barred jail.
