The 18 yr old should be charged under federal law and all 3 should make full financial

restitution and them some, maybe they will catch on that non-social behavior is the thing

of the past.

why does this not surprise me. every year its the same thing. school lets out and all of sudden these snotty nose brats decide to go on a crime spree because they are bored out of their gourd. and to think these window breaking mail box blowing up kids will one day be our fearless leader. time to move back to canada.

Little brats ought to be locked away till school starts again and their parents should pay for the damage done!

We had a houseguest from NY whose car windshield was smashed in front of our house last Thursday night. This is the second time for us and I am sick of it. Shows Menlo Park in a great light, right? The kids should have to pay for it all, thousands of $. If they don't have the $ then lock them up for awhile. There needs to be consequences.

I don't care if the "kids" were bored, spoiled, angry, or just plain stupid, but they must be held accountable, and I do care that they have parents somewhere who must now know their offspring are accused of senseless acts of destruction upon other people's property that could have ended up causing serious injury to the victims or bystanders. Planned or not, happy about it or not, if you have a child, it's actions are YOUR responsibility period. You signed up for 18 years of parenthood, and what your child does or does not learn from watching and listening to you, YOU as the parent own the consequences of even if under the law the child receives some sort of punishment for it. It's high time our society starts taking parenting much more seriously. Our society doesn't recognize good parenting as having the same value as a good CEO, and yet which really benefits society more? A good CEO or a good citizen? What does society have more of? Which make the greater impact on our world as a whole?

The mailbox explosion on N Lemon could have seriously injured the couple that was walking their dog nearby the incident. I hope that these punks are prosecuted to the full extent of the law. These weren't just harmless teenage pranks.
