Atherton mass kidnapper to be paroled
Around Town, posted by Chowchilla , a resident of the Atherton: other neighborhood, on Jun 16, 2012 at 8:23 am

Richard Schoenfeld, his brother, and a Portola Valley friend kidnapped 26 young school children and a bus driver, buried them in a family owned rock quarry, and left them to die. The bus driver managed to dig everyone out and lead the cops to perps, who were convicted of numerous felonies. Richard Schoenfeld is being paroled despite pleas by jailers and victims to keep him locked up. The other 2 perps remain in prison. Unknown if Richard Schoenfeld will be moving back to family's Atherton estate.
