Historic Filoli estate to honor longtime curator Tom Rogers

Tom Rogers, who will be honored Thursday, May 10, at the opening night reception for Filoli's flower show, retired last year after 22 years as curator of the Woodside mansion.

It's great to read that Mr. Rodgers is getting the recognition that he so much deserves. He has been a valuable asset to Filoli and "his shoes" would be hard to fill!

Congratulations, Tom

on this very deserved tribute and recognition. It has been a joy to have been one of the thousands trained by you as a House and Garden docent and to be regaled by your stories at lunch occasionally in the Quail's Nest Cafe. You always have a way of making everyone feel special that you meet and now it is your turn too. And moreover, NOW we REALLY need to get the Board of Governors to name you, Curator Emeritus!!!

As the church lady (aka Dana Carvey), would have said "Isn't THAT Special!"
