As the town and Alpine LL embark on a lofty plan to re-do Ford Field, currently configured as a baseball diamond, I'm wondering if this is really the best use of this space.

Participation in Little League Baseball has been waning dramatically over the past several seasons with players electing for Lacrosse. Just 3 seasons ago, Alpine LL Majors (by far the heaviest user of the field) were able to field 10 full teams with many players not making the cut from Minors to Majors. In the current season, the league was only able to field 7 full teams with virtually zero players on the list of prospective players.

I suggest the town take a look at perhaps making Ford Field the premier LACROSSE field in the area.
