In case you haven't noticed, there is a spectacular sight in the night sky these days. From shortly after sunset for a few hours, Venus and Jupiter are shining bright as can be, seemingly adjacent to one another (separated by a few degrees).
This is what it looked like from Suburban Park tonight around 8:15pm as the clouds began to roll in:
Viewing this conjunction of the planets requires nothing more than your eyes, some clear skies, ...and clearing your calendar, if even for a few minutes.
