Atherton mass kidnapper may be set free
Atherton, posted by resident, a resident of the Atherton: other neighborhood, on Mar 2, 2012 at 7:01 pm

Richard Schoenfeld along with his brother and a friend from Portola Valley were convicted of kidnapping 26 schoolchildren and a bus driver. The victims were buried in a rock quarry and left them to die, but they managed to dig their way out and helped to identify the kidnappers. All three kidnappers were caught and sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole.

Today a judge ruled that Richard Schoenfeld should be released immediately despite the original sentence and even though many of the victims are opposed. The other 2 kidnappers remain in jail and are not being considered for parole.

No mention of where he will be released to.

1.6 years per kidnapping and attempted murder. Disgusting. Someone should get the address of the court, so people can send letters of outrage.
