It is troubling to read that Anne Campbell, who was the Superintendent at the Portola Valley School District and Hanretty's boss up until June of 2010, is conducting an audit in "fiscal irregularities in the Portola Valley district". To gain public trust, an independent body should conduct this investigation to make sure that she was not complicit or involved in any fiscal mishandling herself. Like the Woodside District, the PVSD school board should undertake the initiative and hire an independent auditor to examine the district practices in the last few years. Let us clear the air and do right about our schools!
