Today: Effects of Tinsley transfer program

School desegregation: A Stanford researcher will discuss the effects of the Tinsley transfer program at a special meeting of the Menlo Park City School District board at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 29. Under the court-ordered program, several local school districts agreed to allow minority students from the Ravenswood City School District to transfer into their districts.

I wish this meeting were being held in the evening so that those of us who work full time could attend. I am interested in this program and this study. The timing is unfortunate.

I agree that it was poor timing and I didn't see any publicity through the school district newsletters. Hopefully the Almanac will send a reporter to cover it so we can read about the results.
