FOUR terms on a School Board -- what a disaster. They ought to have terms limits. Let's hope the new Trustees can shove Martinez into the 21st Century and open her mind to progressive initiatives and best practices. She needs to remember that it's her job to be objective and make all decisions based on the best interest of the kids rather than protecting her old ways and old friends.

Dear Disgusted:

Ms. Martinez was the first to support chartered schools in the district. She stood up to the thug Pat Gemma. Best wishes to her, she will do a much better job than Lorraine Rumley.

Go Olivia go--we are so glad you are staying on the board. You are a breath of fresh air and stand up for the rights of the students and parents in our community.

And you've made all the District's schools beautiful. (I'm partial to the remodel at M-A and love how pretty the campus now looks!).
