Sports, posted by Linda Sako, a resident of the Menlo Park: Suburban Park/Lorelei Manor/Flood Park Triangle neighborhood, on May 3, 2007 at 10:44 pm

Despite cold, wet weather at Crystal Springs Golf Course, the M-A Bears shined at the PAL Individual Golf Championship Finals on Thursday, May 3, bringing home 3 medals out of a field of 24 finalists. Placing 7th was Nick Chladek following 2 impressive rounds for the 2 day playoffs with 80 & 79. Jake Hall Toy held on strong and placed 5th, posting 71 & 84 at Shoreline and Crystal. Nick Sako held on to his 1st place league standing by winning the PAL Individual Championship with an even par 72 after his 71 round at Shoreline, a full 9 strokes ahead of the 2nd Place Medalist for the 2 days of this individual tournament. As a team, the Bears advance to CCS Regional Playoffs on Monday, May 7 at Rancho Canada in Carmel Valley.
